At first glance, Steni Terra foundation panels may seem like a slightly more expensive investment compared to other foundation solutions – but in the long run, choosing Steni’s maintenance-free façade panels results in significant savings.
Initially, the cost of Steni Terra foundation panels is somewhat higher than that of solutions using, for example, fibre cement panels. However, it doesn't take many years before the cost curves intersect – and the robust Steni panels prove to be the most economical solution over time.
Built to last
Like other Steni panels, Steni Terra foundation panels are made from stone composite with a surface of crushed natural stone. This surface has demonstrated its durability for more than 60 years, during which Steni has supplied base wall, façade, and roofing panels to the Norwegian market.
The panels are unaffected by UV radiation, and the core does not absorb moisture. This prevents frost damage and delamination. Terra by Steni does not change in colour or appearance, and the panels remain attractive and uniform throughout their entire service life.

Higher Maintenance Costs
Unlike Terra by Steni, fibre cement panels are not impact-resistant. They absorb moisture and tend to crack over time – which significantly shortens their lifespan. When fibre cement panels require replacement after 30 years, Terra by Steni will still have many years of service left.
A rendered base wall may offer a clean, classic appearance, but it typically starts requiring maintenance after just 5–10 years – leading to recurring expenses throughout the building's lifetime.
So, even though the initial cost of a rendered solution may be relatively low, it becomes expensive over time due to frequent maintenance.
