Steni has developed a digital design generator that makes it easier to explore, visualise and test façade solutions during the planning and design phase.

The design generator gives architects, consultants and contractors the opportunity to test products, colours and expressions directly on different building types and see the result immediately.

Start with building type

The generator lets you choose between different building types such as office buildings, apartment buildings, educational buildings, commercial buildings and detached houses. This function provides a realistic starting point for testing different façade solutions in the correct context.

You can also define how the façade and window surfaces should appear, so you get a clear picture of the overall design at an early stage.

Select product series and expression

In the generator, you can choose between Steni’s product ranges, Steni Color, Steni Vision and Steni Nature, and see how different surfaces influence the building’s appearance.

You also gain access to a wide range of colours and can either create your own combinations or use ready-made palettes developed by designers. Changes are shown directly on the building, so you can quickly compare different options.

Select the panel direction and gloss level for the façade

To refine the expression, you can:

  • Choose gloss level (high gloss, semi-matt or matt)
  • Change panel orientation (horizontal or vertical)

Small adjustments in direction and surface can create major visual impact. The design generator makes it easy to test different combinations before final decisions are made in the project.

View the façade solution in different lighting conditions

In the design generator, you can assess the building in different lighting conditions, such as morning, daytime and evening, and explore how colours and surfaces appear throughout the day.

You can also rotate the building, pan, and zoom in to study details and assess the solution from different angles.

Save and export the visualisation

Once you have arrived at an expression you want to develop further, the visualisation can easily be saved or exported for continued use. This makes it simpler to share proposals internally or with the client and project partners.

The tool makes it possible to clarify expressions and material choices earlier in the process, which can support more efficient decision-making and reduce the need for redesign.
