Graffiti can be a challenge for many buildings – but not for façades clad with Steni panels. Our surfaces are engineered to make cleaning simple and efficient. See how graffiti is removed – quickly and gently – without damaging the surface.

Graffiti on buildings is a challenge

Removing graffiti can be both time-consuming and costly – especially from traditional façade materials. For property managers and architects, this often means additional maintenance and unpredictable expenses. That’s why choosing a façade solution that withstands not only weather and wear – but also unwanted paint – is a smart long-term investment.

A low-maintenance façade

With Steni façade panels, you get a robust and low-maintenance solution that stays beautiful for years to come. The surface is highly durable, resistant to dirt – and easy to clean. Even graffiti removal can be done quickly and efficiently, without the use of harsh chemicals that could damage the façade.

At Maridalsveien 159 in Oslo, several panels had been tagged with graffiti. The markings had been there for some time, and the residents wanted them removed – in the simplest and most cost-effective way possible.

“Today, we’re going to demonstrate just how easy it is to remove graffiti – without damaging the panel surface,” says Ståle Kristiansen from Steni.

We’re very happy with the result – and with having such an easy way to remove graffiti.

How to remove graffiti and dirt from façade panels

  1. Use the right products: Choose cleaning agents that are suitable for composite façade surfaces.
  2. Apply the cleaning product: Make sure the surface is fully covered.
  3. Follow the recommended dwell time: Let the product work as instructed for optimal effect.
  4. Rinse with hot water – from bottom to top: Use water above 80°C and rinse from the bottom up to avoid streaking.
  5. Apply a shadow remover if needed: For any remaining marks or shadows, use a dedicated removal product.
  6. Final rinse with hot water – from bottom to top: Ensure all residue is thoroughly removed using hot water (above 80°C).
